About Father's Day...

Last year's Father's Day card was strange too.

I had to pick Izzy's brain to get a more coherent message on the card.

Better than birthdays...

In writing my own mother's day card to my mom,

I realized the content was essentially the SAME.

A big thank you for LIFE...

and chocolate breath.

I suddenly felt guilty that I had just robbed my child of some simple childhood fantasies.

However, by having told her the hard truth in these matters (mixed up with vague historical details from the dust balls of my meager brain), I am hoping she will give me more credit when we talk about the birds and the bees and the potential consequences of unplanned pollination and spread of botanical diseases...

I began to wonder.

1.  Daddy working on GIS programs.

2.  Mommy waiting patiently for the car in front of her

to make a timely left turn. 

3.  Mommy's pen dies before its time.

4.  Mommy says no for the 106th time.

Okay.

Well, who knew.
